OpenSource JobScheduler in Linux

Hi,
We are planning to use Open Source Job Scheduler.
The document in their site is not very clear. Has anyone installed Job Scheduler before. It would be helpful, if anyone could provide a working document.
I have installed Job Scheduler in one server and its working fine. Like I am able to create jobs, chains and orders. We need to implement this is in a centralized way. I used GUI to create jobs etc. But we do not have gui in all the servers. It would be helpful if someone provides a working document in setting up a centralized setup

Clear about what precisely?

If the documentation suggest the master can schedule jobs on client nodes and if you elected on server to be master and if you can schedule jobs on the client then what exactly is your problem? And don't say "doesn't work" but give a thorough description of the workflow, any errors and log excerpts to illustrate the problem.

Very sorry for the lack of info... I am using Rabbit Open Source Job Scheduler, developed by Software- und Organisations-Service (SOS) GmbH in Berlin, Germany.

http://www.sos-berlin.com/modules/cj...er_docu_en.htm
Version: jobscheduler.1.3.11.1191

What my requirement is. I want to control jobs in many servers from one centralized location. I need a doc to set this setup. So far, I have setup a standalone installation in a test server and its working fine.

eg: 192.168.1.99 ( Will control from here )

192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.10 ( need to control all the jobs in this server from 192.168.1.99)

I was not able to find any document for Rabbit Open Source Job Scheduler Agent installation and configuration. I have installed agent and pointed to Job Scheduler server. But I do no how to proceed further

I'm not familiar with the Rabiit job scheduler. What is it that you're trying to achieve? If you're trying to distribute batch jobs over many servers, I'd look at something like TORQUE, Slurm, or Open Grid Scheduler (the open source fork of the former Sun Grid Engine). If you want to control scheduled jobs on a large number of machines from a central point, I'd personally probably just set up something like Puppet or CfEngine to interact with cron on each particular host.

I think without knowledge of Rabbit it will be very difficult to help you without a better understanding of what it is you're trying to accomplish.
