nsupdate error + dns_request_createvia: ran out of space
Hello Guys,
I'm running bind dns under RHEL4 and I'm using nsupdate for secure updates to my DNS zones. It was working fine when I was updating zone files with less entries. But when I'm trying to update huge amount of entries (around 3000) through nsupdate it showing the output: dns_request_createvia: ran out of space
I have googled on this error but not got good clarity. I came to know that their is some limitations on the number of entries that can be updated via "nsupdate" at single shot, but not got the exact picture.
What is the exact limitations on this?? Is this error coming only because of the huge amount of entries that I'm trying to update??
I think more than 2000 record stop processing sometimes. The limit is not documented anywhere, but may be it limit due to size of journal file that used in case of DDNS.
