Hello, everyone, Can you help me?
Now I have one 70G SCSI hard disk, two 200G IDE hard disk on one server, As I haven't installed Linux on three hard disk, So I want to know If I install linux on 70G SCSI hard disk, what I will change my install way comparing with before which I install linux on one hard disk? Thanks! |
My friend,
I am having trouble understanding your English. Are you asking what the difference is between installing linux on a SCSI and installing to IDE/SATA? If so, then there is no difference other than old kernels cannot see SCSI devices so you may need an initrd image. Newer kernels do not have this problem. Regardless, most recent linux distros include a GUI installer that does all the hard work for you. |
Thanks, I will improve my English!

You have not provided enough information. If the linux distribution you want to install has support for your SCSI controller then it really depends on where you want to put /usr /var etc.
