noob virtual host setup


I have an apache server running on a computer with a single ip address. I'm trying to setup virtual hosts using the httpd GUI. Can someone explain how they did it. I'm a noon obviously trying to Learn how to do hosting. Thanks all.

well you just need to check some of the standard documentation, that's a much better option that us repeating it all for you.

for example http://www.zrinity.com/developers/ap...rtualhosts.cfm and if you have *specific* questions, please ask back here.

i ran the command service httpd restart this is what happened
stopping httpd: failed
starting httpd: httpd:syntax error on line 990 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf:990: <VirtualHost? was not closed.
this is line 990 of that document:
<VitualHost 192.168.2.65:80>

well you've got "vitual" instead of "virtual" there haven't you?
