i kno that VMware and NIs hav nothin in common i just thought this would be a good subject for the thread, as for the the two machines, the ist 1 has the ip 192.168.150.25 and the other has 192.168.150.24 and they ping each other succefully but the 2nd wont join the NIS server created in the 1st 1, and as i said before the two machines are virual machines made with VMware 5.1, i don think that VMware has anything to do to the fact that the
2nd machine doesn't find the NIS server,i wish you could help me, thank you.
