Need tutorial how to connect to irc channel over putty


Hello i have my vps server.I want to connect on some irc server over my vps server. My vps server is linux.Centos5 and i am connected to my vps over putty. Please give me tutorial or something like that?!

I use irssi, very nice.

It is explained from the context that you already have irssi open.

For example, you can connect to an irc server with...
Code:
/connect irc.freenode.org
/nick mynick
/join #chat
They use alias names for keys you might be used to hearing such as.
Meta is Alt key.
Super is "Windows" key.
^ is referred to as Ctrl.

e.g. ^X is Ctrl+X

It doesn't make sense to me to ask for a video tutorial for a textual environment. It's easier to read documentation than it is to watch a video because you have an overview reference of commands.

Perhaps this is a better tutorial for you. You could also google "irssi cheat sheet" and look through the results.

Like most command line utilities there is also built in help documentation. (run these commands within irssi)
