Need to configure Apache2.2 to use php5.6 instead php5.5

Hi
I have Apache2.2 and php5.5

Curretnly php 5.6 is also installed. How do I tell Apache to use php5.6 instead of 5.5

I saw in http.conf it points to modules/libphp5.so

Where and what do I need to change?

first read and study the OLD Apache 2.2 documentation
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/

and the php documentation
http://php.net/docs.php

install the correct mod and set it in the httpd.conf and set the settings in php.ini
