Kindly I need some information about LDAP server
1- my active directory is working in windows server 2003 shall I replace it with LDAP server
2- is the LDAP server manager client like windows XP
3- if i want to make i the prfile of the user under another server
shall i make the authentcation from the LDAP server and loading the profile from this server
3- shall I make group policy like windows server 2003
Note:-
I don’t know if the following is write or wrong
If I have LDAP server working and have real IP
Is it possible to make computer running windows XP in my internal network join this domain and how does it work
I don’t need explanation for how to make that? So I still searching for LDAP documentation
All what I need the possibility of what I design ?

what is this product include all active directory feature
there isn't one. you can check the freeIPA project, which is intended to perform this sort of function, but not yet. Note that what AD does is not something that should be logically served by a single product. The features are very varied, and don't really have much in common.
You may also want to have abrief look here http://www.iallanis.info/smbldap-too...ba-ldap-howto/ for the samba open ldap howto. Its a bit old, and in ideal world, you want to know something about the differences between Samba 4 & 3, but should get you close enough to be asking detail questions rather than very general ones.
