Need help with HDD inside of my centos 6 server

[root@deff ~]# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/vg_pvtty-lv_root
50G 9.1G 38G 20% /
tmpfs 7.8G 0 7.8G 0% /dev/shm
/dev/sda1 477M 52M 400M 12% /boot
/dev/mapper/vg_pvtty-lv_home
492G 70M 467G 1% /home

Hello this is the problem , i cant use the "normal" space which is 492G but i can use only the 50G which is useless for me.... what can i do?? thanks

You have two options.

1. Delete the /dev/mapper/vg_pvtty-lv_home LVM and give the space to /dev/mapper/vg_pvtty-lv_root

2. Reduce the /dev/mapper/vg_pvtty-lv_home LVM and give the space to /dev/mapper/vg_pvtty-lv_root

Why can't you use that? it is in /home, or /home/username. I would say this configuration is ok.
