Need assistance for configuring SYSLOG
 

Hi All

How do i setup a centralize log server which collect all logs from client and send to log server. I followed the redhat official method but i was not success in setup. Please provide me the steps and also method by which i can varify.

this is a project in itself, we can't tell you how to do this at all. There are some good documents in the gentoo.org library though, and they use my recommended syslog service, syslog-ng which you'll probably find much much easier to use and understand.

also you might like a producy like splunk instead of a conventional syslog server. it's nice.

Also don't say "i was not success in setup" but give us anything tangible like error messages to help you with.
