You don't seem to have a host defined?
|
Hi which host have to define? and where?
|
This is all documented, but to give you a head start, a host needs to be defined, to wich you can assign certain services that are checked by commands (which are defined in the commands sections). Also, a host or service needs to have a contact group assigned, to wich alerts can be directed.
A bit more elaborative explanation and examples can be found here (just googled it, there are way more): http://www.standalone-sysadmin.com/b...nagios-config/ |

And use
...
around your examples. This will preserve the original layout |
Thanks guys itw working fine.
Is it require to configure client side to monitor cpu load, memory status,Disk status in linux servers? |
try snmp
configure snmp on the target you want to monitor and let nagios query that |
How to add esx servers, switches and routers, i am adding with out doing any settings in esxi ,switches and routers end .am able view only ping status.
To monitor Load,Disk Space,Memory of esx server what to do? |
is beyond scope of this thread, but without touching esxi you hope snmp is available to use that.
also, obtaining stats through ssh is also possible |
I am getting above post,
I want how to add esxi host to nagios steps i require |
