Can you see the other pages of your Nagios site?

Are there any browser plugins you need for the statusmap?

Also, what version of Nagios are you using?

Hi,
The rest of the pages are perfectly fine, only the statuamap, histiry.cgi and 3d status Map are having problems. i am running nagios version 2.9 ,
i dont know about the browser plugins, how do i check that .
Thanks for the help.

Kind Regards

I believe it's only the 3d status map that needs a plugin. I found this site:

http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/1...igextinfo.html

That recommends you have Extended Host Information configured. You might want to make sure of that and also check that you have the gd library installed to create the png image files.

i too have noticed with version 2.9 that trends.cgi, histogram.cgi and statusmap.cgi are not found. if you look in the directory where your cgi's are located, for me, they are not there.

when i looked into the .c files in the installation files, there are treds.c, histogram.c and statusmap.c, however it seems they never compiled. I try to run gcc statusmap.c but get a boatload of errors.

do the rest of your cgis show up and work properly? mine just give me a whoops message. i am not sure why.

"" Whoops!

Error: Could not read object configuration data!

Here are some things you should check in order to resolve this error:

1. Verify configuration options using the -v command-line option to check for errors.
2. Check the Nagios log file for messages relating to startup or status data errors.
3. Make sure you've compiled the main program and the CGIs to use the same object data storage options (i.e. default text file or template-based file).

Make sure you read the documentation on installing, configuring and running Nagios thoroughly before continuing. If all else fails, try sending a message to one of the mailing lists. More information can be found at nagios dot org."

http://www.nagios.org/faqs/viewfaq.php?faq_id=55

that FAQ on the nagios.org page has the solution. You have to make sure to install the libraries.
