MySQL / Webmin problem
Hello everyone,
I'm working on a VDS, Debian 4.0. I upgraded first to MySQL 5.0.51 and set up a password for the root user. A problem occured in Webmin's MySQL module: first time it asked for user/password, but thereafter it still said "MySQL is not running on your system - database list could not be retrieved."
Now I did upgrade to MySQL 5.0.75 and Webmin's MySQL module worked fine until ... I restarted MySQL: same problem as before. I didn't change anything to the MySQL/Webmin config.
I'm sure the database server is running correctly, I can connect via mysql in Debian or via other clients.
Here's my config file:
start_cmd=(/usr/bin/safe_mysqld || /usr/bin/mysqld_safe) >/dev/null 2>&1 &
mysql=/usr/bin/mysql
mysqldump=/usr/bin/mysqldump
mysqlimport=/usr/bin/mysqlimport
mysql_libs=
mysqladmin=/usr/bin/mysqladmin
mysqlshow=/usr/bin/mysqlshow
perpage=25
style=0
add_mode=1
nodbi=0
access=*: *
blob_mode=0
date_subs=0
passwd_mode=0
mysql_data=/var/lib/mysql
max_dbs=50
my_cnf=/etc/my.cnf
max_text=1000
pass=[hidden]
login=root
Thanks for help,
@.
