MySQL users to authenticate with Openldap server

Dear All,

How can i authenticate my MySQL users with the OpenDLAP as MySQL and OpenDLAP is running on the different servers. At present my LDAP is running as PDC to authenticate the samba users but i also want my mysql user to authenticate with my LDAP servers. I searched a lot but did not get appropriate solution.

If u have any idea regarding this then kindly help me.

A quick Google search turned up several things. The MySQL wiki points to the pluggableauthenticationsupport module.

OpenLDAP has a back end plug in for MySQL as well.
