Post My squid server is running slow i have 40 fedora 11 in my squid proxy


Can u help me out guys

This is not enough information for anyone to be able to help you.
  • What distro/version is this?
  • What version of squid? (How did you install it?)
  • Have you checked squid's cache.log for error messages?
  • Are you capturing CPU / RAM / disk I/O data (e.g. via sar)?
  • What sort of network are you on?

Squid Cache: Version 2.6.STABLE16

Look... I don't know if this is a gag or what. But please do not type in all CAPS.

Fedora 8 is old and unsupported. Consider upgrading to the latest available. Or, if you don't want to be upgrading regularly, choose a distro that has a long support cycle (e.g. RHEL or CentOS).

As for sar, install the sysstat package and google "sar linux" for usage tips.

If none of this is making sense, please go to your local library or bookstore and pick up a book on Linux for beginners.
