Move owncloud 4 to owncloud 5 to a different server

Hi,

I have got a Ubuntu system (12.04 32 bit) and want to move the web directories to a Centos system (6.4 64 bit). In these directories is a owncloud 4.5.8 installed. All embedded with sqlite database. Now it should be moved to another server with owncloud 5. Has anyone experience with this process.

Some things are important for this. The sync should be consistent, that not all files on the client are deleted and downloaded again. Synchronisation should be functional with the client. The best way (for me) is, to make a live sync from the ubuntu server to centos. And if I am ready, I do a takeover. It is no problem, if owncloud 4 stays in this version. But I tried this before and I broke my OC_Cache or Files weren't shown in the Webinterface. This should be avoided.

Thank you,
BaLu

Hi,

thanks for your answer. I know this site and if i wanted to upgrade, I took this site for a try. But is it possible, to make a kind of high availability. One site has the same data as the other site and I can shutdown the first site when ever I want?

Thank you very much,
BaLu
