Migrating Mail - Courier Imap /Maildir > Cyrus /var/spool/imap

Hi,

Due to corruption of my Courier mailbox which was a $HOME/Maildir mailbox, and other problems I have been experiencing with Courier I have finally migrated to Cyrus *and* got mail delivery working.

I was hoping there was an easy way of running a script that will take all the e-mail out of a given directory (recursively) such as /home/steve/Maildir, so that this script will ultimately suck up all my e-mail from my old mailbox and throw it at Postfix (or better yet straight at Cyrus).

Unless of course there is an easier way to migrate mail from one to the other?

Thanks in advance for any advice anyone can offer.

Do you need to do anything? I'd have guessed that the directory structure was the same in either case

I think so, however at the moment all mail is in (for example /home/steve/Maildir/ and recursive...) and needs to move to /var/spool/imap/users/s/steve/.

I didn't think it was that simple! At the moment all the files in the Maildir/ folders are named by message ID, in the /var/spool/imap/... they are just numbered.

I will give it a try, just copying the files over and let you know how I get on.

Thanks for everything you have done to help me in the last month!
