[SOLVED] mfsmaster register error: Permission denied

hi guys, got this error "mfsmaster register error: Permission denied" upon executing /usr/src/mfs-1.6.20# /usr/bin/mfsmount /mnt/mfs -H mfsmaster

any ideas?

Solution:
1) Check /etc/mfsexports.cfg
2) Add the entries below:
192.168.1.0/24 / rw,alldirs,maproot=0

3) run the command again to mount
root@Ubuntu:/usr/src/mfs-1.6.20# /usr/bin/mfsmount /mnt/mfs -H mfsmaster

4) output should be:
mfsmaster accepted connection with parameters: read-write,restricted_ip ; root mapped to root:root

5) Then, check the web interphase of moosefs and look for the "Mounts" Tab

I had the exact same problem at first.
I solved this by not running /usr/bin/mfsmount /mnt/mfs -H mfsmaster from /usr/src/mfs-1.6.20/ but from /
