mdadm --grow, can it be stopped to move server?

Been a while since i posted here but I'm kinda suck between a rock and a hard place.

I've got a production Openfiler iSCSI SAN, and have a limited budget so i have to deal with an 8 port SATA card and use software raid. for it's use it's fine. but it ran out of room last week and till it gets some more disks i just added a spare 750gb to the raid 5 with 3x750gb. I've started the mdadm grow to extend the array. I know it's going to take a few days thats OK, until today where I've found out that the new air con (long overdue) can only be installed this weekend (GREAT!).
So i need to know as the power to this box needs to be shut off both mains and UPS (it's in a very small room) and the grow will still be going is this going to s*** itself? or stop and start again at reboot? i didn't notice any pause for the mdadm command but I'd like to know if this data will be safe as writing 1tb on late Sunday back will be a pain.

Regards,

Madman.
