Mandrake Linux 10.1 E-Mail

I'm trying to set up a mail server, and get it to be configured for pop3s/smtp access in Outlook. I've got it so that outlook says: The connection to the server was interrupted. It says this in Microsoft outlook. What are the possible reasons for this error? If I test configuration, it will hang forever.

Well, I know I'm using smtpd for smtp, and pop3s for SSL pop3. I'm using postfix for the senmail type stuff on Linux. I don't really know about main.cf though, because I just used the server wizard.
