I am having following 2 issues, If you could advise about that, I'll be really really grateful.
1- Occasionally permissions on mail file in ".....vmail/domain.com/user/Maildir/new/TheLongNamedMailFile" are set to root and then the IMAP client (we are using squirrel mail for now) is failed to connect and read the INBOX. I have looked around but haven't found anything on that yet. At one forum i read someone having the same problem and someone else suggested if there's any backup utility running along, We do have unison running at our server but still i am unable to relate it with our problem. For time being i am using cron job and changing the ownership of vmail/ to vmail:vmail.
2- How to determine if postfix is case insensitive. I am facing an issue, where out of numbers of domains directories 2 directories are created with same name, just with capital and small letters difference. (domain1.com, domain2.com domain3.com Domain3.com), as in the example, domain3.com has been created 2 times. This started to show when any of my user used capital letters in login ID, I controlled it by using directive "uth_username_format = %Lu" in /etc/dovecot.conf. All directories has been fixed except one. Now the mail is being copied to Domain3.com where user's home is in domain3.com. I've checked postfix, dovecot's configuration files but haven't found anything related.
Would you please guide me where to look for these issues?
I shall be highly grateful for your kindness.
