Mail box problem with multiple domains in sendmail server

Dear all,

i have a problem with multiple domain mail server. the problem is the user getting same mail box when he accessing from the both domains.

Presently i'm using local users for the both domains and sendmail with dovecot in CentOS 6.

Can i have different mailboxes for different domains without using any database?

Thanks for any help!

For example, create user1 and user2 system users.

Open the '/etc/mail/virtusertable' configuration file and add the following lines:

user1@domain1.com user1
email-address1@domain1.com user1
email-address2@domain2.com user2
email-address3@domain1.com user2

So, all emails to user1@domain1.com and email-address1@domain1.com email addresses will go to 'user1' mailbox and all emails to email-address2@domain2.com and email-address3@domain1.com will go to 'user2' mailbox.

Add your domains to the /etc/mail/local-host-names file:

domain1.com
domain2.com

Execute the following commands:

cd /etc/mail
make all
/etc/init.d/sendmail restart
