sftp service is running and thier logs are generating inside /var/log/messages if the local users are doing sftp.

You can change what it logs (how verbose it is, etc) here...

Subsystem sftp internal-sftp

If you add -l INFO after the internal-sftp it should send that stuff to /var/log/messages. In other words you want

Subsystem sftp internal-sftp -l INFO

I have done changes in /etc/ssh/sshd_config file.....

Subsystem sftp /usr/libexec/openssh/sftp-server -l INFO VERBOSE -f AUTH

but still not able to get logs from AD users. it is generating logs from local users but not by AD users.

Maybe you'd have to look into logging in the relevant pam_xxx modules; I'd guess pam_winbind and/or pam_krb5

Thanks for reply.

There is already working winbind and AD users are able to login by sftp. but there are not generating logs in /var/log/messages except local users.

Nothing you post is is 'urgent' for ANYONE, except you. Bumping your own thread is fairly rude, and demanding/expecting volunteers to hurry up and answer you is also rude. If you need 'urgent' support, I suggest you CALL RED HAT SUPPORT...you are PAYING for RHEL, right??? If not, you shouldn't be using it, since you are in an unpatched/unsupported configuration.

Chrism01 posted a likely solution, but it appears as if you misunderstood it. Yes, we do know that you're using winbind...but have you looked at the LOGGING on that module?? Have you tried to check the SSH/SFTP logs? Any other logs on the system? Have you restarted SSH after you made the changes first suggested?
