Hi please clarify the below query.

User is unable to get the prompt when login to the putty.

It's showing blank screen.

On checking the user account is valid one.

Thanks !

By prompt screen what do you mean?
you are not getting a login prompt?

check your firewall settings whether your server is listening to port 22

Code:
#netstat -ntlp | grep 22

Q- User is trying to connect a server through putty. after that user didn't get the login prompt. it's showing blank screen. Even the cursor is also not blinking....

yes. ports are in listening mode, and user is having right access to the server. password is not expired/locked.

if you are not getting login prompt simply means you are not getting access to the system. It has nothing to do with user's password

the issue is with firewall or selinux for sure

to check you can try on your test machine
Code:
#iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 22 -j REJECT
#service iptables save
#service iptables restart
and try to connect through putty..it will say unable to connect

then try the same thing after stopping the firewall or adding a ACCEPT rule for port 22.
