I have a toaster.
LogAnalyzer version number?
(r)syslog version number?
Is it running?
What is the "configured database" and have you provided and tested the credentials for the database,
from the c-line?

How to resolve the error "No syslog records found (code 8 )? may help.

Same articles says the database is called Syslog
Is this CentOS or an Ubuntu-flavored host?

The README in http://download.adiscon.com/loganaly...r-4.1.3.tar.gz is very detailed. Have you read it?
