You are very confused, and clearly not interested in reading the answers to the questions you have asked. The first sentence of Pixellany's first reply told you everything you need to know. :(

I don't know what you are looking at, but most versions of Linux are in fact completely free of cost.

Learning

I bought all the Linux DVD's on Amazon. Also bought books there.
Years ago when our first computer crashed with 1600 bugs on it. Our $70hr.tech guy couldn't save it. It was a goner.
An incredible tech savy friend said buy a new one, and give them the old one. Neither one of these Gentlemen told me it was just the HD, and to just reformat it, or get a new one. I had to figure that out myself. I live on an island, or these kinds of things would be much easier. Since there is no one to talk to about comp issue's things are more difficult.
I was concerned about the support for the server software I've never used, and the mysql database I know nothing about.
I had thought about Cent, and was thinking of looking at it. Thanks a lot for the comments about it. What's considered the best database?
So you Guy's have helped me lots. The comments on support were invaluable. I feel a little guilty about taking up your time without more singular, specific issues. Thanks!
