LINUX SAMBA SERVER - Temporary domain admin rights for network windows client user.
To install particular windows software on windows workstation, a normal user "A_USER" must have administrator rights during this install. You may not install this software under the "ADMINISTRATOR" account. This is required to set up correctly the window registry for that user. Under windows the administrator put the user "A_USER" in the administrator group during that install and when finish push it back to the user group.
Now I want to connect definitively this computer on the local network with a LINUX-SAMBA-LDAP PDC server with domain name "MY_DOMAIN".
As soon as the computer had join the network and the user had logged, he got a new profile "MY_DOMAIN.A_USER" on the window side. Because this registry is completely new, I have to reinstall some window software (those i am speaking about at the beginning) for the new profile "MY_DOMAIN.MY_USER". How can I give administrator rigths during the install to the user "A_USER" logged on the domain. The user must belong now to the domain administrator group from the point of view of windows software.
I am running win2k on the client, and linux suse 10 on the server.
