Hello,
Can you indicate what you want to do with that server? Set it up as a repository (according to the title)? What kind of repository? The more details you provide the more dedicated answers we can provide. Kind regards, Eric |

windows & Linux Desktop USers. Where users can make version of there codes. Hope this will clear about my requirement. |
Hello,
Where I work we use Mercurial to provide a central code repository. It's pretty easy to setup, well documented and works on most if not all OS platforms. Lot of tools are available for administration and use. Another very well know and widely used version control system is Git. I personally have not used it yet. You can find lots of tutorials on how to set it up using Google, for example: Setting up Git on CentOS 5 Server Installing and setting up Mercurial on RHEL/CentOS Kind regards, Eric |

Hello,
The most efficient way to administer and use Mercurial is using the command line. If you really insist on using a graphical user interface, then have a look at this page. I've heard TortoiseHG is pretty good. Kind regards, Eric |
Thanks for your kind help. At last, can you tell me the best Repository access client for my windows user or which one you prefer?

Hello.
You're welcome. Have a look at TortoiseHG. I've installed it yesterday to take it for a spin and it's pretty good (using the Linux version). I assume the Windows version is similar, if not exactly the same. Kind regards, Eric |
