I want to configure a Linux (Centos or Ubuntu) server to our Dot Net & PHP Developers. This is a new area of knowledge for me. Kindly guide me that which one is the best for Windows users and can be administrator in a good way.

I want to deploy a CVS (version control system) of server for my PHP & Dot Net Programmer. This server will be deployed for
windows & Linux Desktop USers. Where users can make version of there codes.

Where I work we use Mercurial to provide a central code repository. It's pretty easy to setup, well documented and works on most if not all OS platforms. Lot of tools are available for administration and use. Another very well know and widely used version control system is Git. I personally have not used it yet.

You can find lots of tutorials on how to set it up using Google, for example:

The most efficient way to administer and use Mercurial is using the command line. If you really insist on using a graphical user interface, then have a look at this page. I've heard TortoiseHG is pretty good.

You're welcome. Have a look at TortoiseHG. I've installed it yesterday to take it for a spin and it's pretty good (using the Linux version). I assume the Windows version is similar, if not exactly the same.
