Linkstation with mandriva issue

I have mounted the linkstation NAS to mandriva 2008 using fstab as:

\\192.168.1.8\Repository /mnt/Repository cifs password= <my paswword>, username= <myuser> 0 0

I can see it in Konqueror as remote share but when i select it >> i get a "permision denied"

what type of network should i use in the Automount: cifs, nsf or smbfs ?

the NAS is linked via the router 192.168.1.1

Any help is appreciated.
