Hello.
I want to share some Directories on my Linux Box and some users in network connect to my server for work on my Directories but I just want they can see my Samba shares and can't Browse other Directories and etc.
For example, When Clients on Windows use "SFTP" they can see other Directories too but how can I limit them to special parts?
In your opinion I must use "chmod" and "chown" for all directory in my Linux system!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess you misunderstand I mean. When I use a user for logging into Linux, This user can browse all directories and it is so bad
You need to share exactly what you want to share, nothing more. But without knowing your configuration (samba, nfs, ftp, whatever) we cannot say more. And of course you need to set up permissions/access rights properly.
