libssl.so.5: cannot open shared object file

Hi All

NEVER use --nodeps with rpm unless you *really* know what you're doing.

I have upgraded openssl package with --nodeps
Now the prob is i can't use any prog like rpm ssh and yum so that i can do something.

every prog is giving error like:

rpm: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

If any comments .......
most welcome !!!!!

I think you shouldn't use the with --nodeps because that will not check for dependencies (like the shared libraries), try without that option.

I am having problems upgrading openssl on a Red Hat 7.0 and am having the same problems, will get back if I find an answer
