libpcap error while compiling ntop from source

I checked out the latest version of ntop and trying to build an RPM on
OpenSUSE 10.3. I did "./autogen.sh" it says "checking for
pcap_lookupdev in -lpcap... no". I have libpcap-0.9.7 installed and
the two files are in /usr/lib/libpcap.so.0 &
/usr/lib/libpcap.so.0.9.7.

Could anyone tell me how to fix this issue? Thanks.

To build anything you will need not only the libraries installed but the corresponding "library_name-dev" packages which include the files you are missing.
Search your package manager for files ending in -dev or -devel or something along those lines.
