LDAP authentication server

Dear All,

I want to setup a central authentication server for my linux clients. i.e LDAP authentication server.

so that I just add/remove new user on this LDAP server and it affects for all my linux servers.

Can anyone guide me on this with documentation. Thanks

Which version of linux are you running? If you plan on running openldap from scratch get ready for a bumpy ride.

I am, using centos 5.8 for server machine.

This site is really good and simple to follow. Just know that you may have to tweak things to make them work properly. As far as I can tell there is no perfect guide out there. Most of them are several years old and while they work for the most part there is always something that needs to be adjusted.
