LAMP Apache 2 won't go to folders in Default directory

Hello Everyone,

The current problem I'm having with my new Ubuntu LAMP server is that I've redirected my domain name, assume domainname, to my server. It works fine.

But when I add a directory to the default apache2 folder, and set the proper viewing and executing permissions, i type in domainname/folder and the server redirects to the main index page in default directory, not the folder directory.

But if I put my IP address in the browser, ex, ip_address/folder/
it works and goes to the proper page.

Does anyone know what I've done wrong with my setup?

Did you change the ServerName in httpd.conf from your IP address to your domain name?

You may also need to use the Listen directive.
