Kernel Panic on Shutdown or Restart

When I shutdown my linux server, I get a Kernel Panic exception error. Is there a way to find out what is causing this all of a sudden?

We can start by seeing the exact panic message.

One guess would be a corrupted file system. Force fsck to run on the next boot.
