Is it possible to create a remote log host on a free shell account?
It's all in the title really. I'm just wondering if it's possible to create a remote log host using a free shell account, as my router keeps rebooting, and I'd like to log these somewhere but don't have the luxury of any *nix machines lying around, or the ability to keep a machine running 24/7 to log such messages.

I suppose that would depend on the router more than anything. I can think of a number of ways to get logs onto the remote machine, but it depends on what capabilities the router itself has in terms of remote logging.
What type of router are we talking about? A "real" router, or a consumer device? Stock firmware or something more capable like DD-WRT? |
