IRQ issue

Dear friends,

I am getting the following messages on the server logs.

ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:02.0[A] -> GSI 16 (level, low) -> IRQ 169
ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:06.0[A] -> GSI 16 (level, low) -> IRQ 169
ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:1d.0[A] -> GSI 16 (level, low) -> IRQ 169
ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:1d.1[B] -> GSI 19 (level, low) -> IRQ 177
ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:1d.2[C] -> GSI 18 (level, low) -> IRQ 185

How serious is this issue and what could be done to fix it?

This is not an error. What makes you think this is an error?

Atif_Khan 10-17-2007 06:18 AM

Is that a normal message coz my logs are filled with such messages.

ghostdancer 10-17-2007 06:22 AM

You mean it keep repeating such entries in your log? Which log file is that?

These entries are very common. You will see such message whenever the system boot. Unless for whatever reason, these logs keep appearing (say, every few minutes) in a periodic or random manner, then I don't see a need to be concern.

Dear Ghostdancer,

I guess you are right those are normal messages as I found same for other servers as well. Messages are not repeating.

Thanks for such quick response. Appreciate that.
