installing atftp in ubuntu????

I'm trying to install atftp....I'm using the steps in

but when I perform this command:
put hda.txt

it says that:
time out:retrying...

what must I do?

I don't know much about TFTP, but it sounds like there's some kind of problem connecting to the other computer. Can you ping it?

(i.e

Code:

ping 192.169.0.54

replacing the IP address with the IP address of the computer you're trying to TFTP to)
