What model is your ati card? You need find a module for it.

Give us what you have from these queries:

Code:

~# dmidecode --type 0,2,8,10,13,41
also best if this is still enabled in your system:

Code:

~# lspcmcia -vv
Ati has always been problematic with Linux kernel.
