improve sendmail performance

Hi Everybody,

I need your help to fine tuning our sendmail server. We are sending newsletters to our subscribers daily. Our actual requirement is, we need to send 25,000 emails in 2-3 hours of time. My OS and sendmail details:

-- Linux Enterprise Server 5.

-- Sendmail 8:13:8

-- Internet Bandwidth : 3Mbps

I have changed my sendmail configuration according to the site info http://www.myptsmail.com/blog/?p=75 , but not helped and it was taken 12 hours than as usual.

Rightnow, the sendmail is taking 7 hour to send out 25K emails. Please advice for tuning sendmail performance. What are the other criteria we need look at it?

Please advice.

Thanks
Tamilselvan

25,000 newsletters PER DAY? What's the site name so we can check it out?? This sounds very much like a spam-server...if it's not, I'm sure we'll be glad to help you out,

Ok. You can check our website name http://www.directionsmag.com/ . We have 25K subscribed users. So, we are sending newsletter to readers daily. Our goal is to send the newsletters as quick as possible before the readers start their daily work. So, I am expecting to send it within 3 hours. I assure that We are not sending spam emails.

Thanks
Tamilselvan.
