If you get the error message: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError


hi I'm Venkat

my problem in my server is giving an error Heap space error in java
in my point of view i think i have to increase memory space fro java, but i don't know where to make changes, so pls help me to solve this problem as soon as possible

We volunteer our time here, and answer questions when we want to. It's not very polite to tell other people to hurry and help you. Also, you say nothing about your system (what version/distro of Linux? What hardware? How much memory?), or your application (web? Stand-alone? What??).

And have you checked Google, since you're in such a rush? Lots of answers come up, when you put in your error message. You may have to adjust the ulimit flag on your system, or explore the JVM -Xmx flag.
