Does it have a cd drive? Typically you just burn the cd and boot off the drive. You may wish to try a binary compatible version of linux like centos if you need redhat compatibility specifically and aren't planning on getting a RHN subscription (without it redhat is useless.) It's easier to boot from usb stick these days than floppy... do you need floppy or ...?
Edit: modifications based on his post modifications. |
Is this for a kickstart situation or system recovery?
For the latter, I just boot off the install media, then at the initial prompt type linux rescue |
