Question Hung task time out

Hello,

I have a problem with nfs mount on RHEL 5, 2.6.18 kernel. My server is having an nfs share mounted on it. While the nfs source server goes offline, my server hangs even if source server is back up my server will become hung. Showing a message like :

INFO: task java:22208 blocked for more than 120 seconds.

nfs share is mounted using hdr, intr options.

Please suggest a solution to solve the hanging problem while source goes offline.

Thanks in advance.

Britto

First off, show patience as getting through logs can be time-consuming task. Provide logs written by console/gui, can be found at /etc/logs/

By the time, try restarting both computer and XServer (on login screen press Alt+E). If this does not help, consider reinstalling your OS. But first - provide log/s.
