httpd running but websites offline
I see no processes via "top" from httpd.

I've tried doing updates, restarting, rebooting.
How can I get my websites back online?

Yes, but I only have SSH and vSphere access at the moment.

Can you check your Apache log files and see what happens when you try to make a request? Usually the Apache logs are in /var/log/httpd or /var/log/apache2. In particular, check if anything is reported in the access_log and error_log.

I'm running CentOS, and those two locations do not exist.
My firewall is CSF (Config Server Free).
Should I try flushing iptables?
EDIT: found error_log and am looking through it.

Just to report back, I fixed the problem by switching to LiteSpeed webserver.
