httpd not starting !!


httpd service not starting on rhel5

input : httpd -e debug

output : httpd: Syntax error on line 995 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: API module structure `jk_module' in file /etc/httpd/modules/mod_jk.so is garbled - perhaps this is not an Apache module DSO?

what to do ?

Take a look at

You can put a # at the beginning of line 995, to test, so it won't be loaded
See if everything works
mod_jk.so is for tomcat if my memory serves me right
Try to reinstall
