Howto start usermin remotely to change password

Hi folks,

Ubuntu 7.04 server amd64

I can't figure out how users can start usermin remotely and login their account to change password.

On server, user can start usermin locally running "https://mail:20000"
login in their account and change password.

However on remote PC;
User can browse the apache-default page on server with "http://domain.com"m or "http://domain.com"
(remark. homepage NOT hoisted yet)

Run
https://mail.domain.com:20000
Code:
Unable to connect

https://domain.com/mail:20000/
Code:
Not Found
The requested URL /mail:20000/ was not found on this server.
Please advise how to start usermin remotely for users changing their password. TIA

Hi,

Thanks for your advice.

chetcpasswd is on repo. I have it installed.

$ sudo apt-get install chetcpasswd
Code:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  chetcpasswd
0 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 35.4kB of archives.
After unpacking 221kB of additional disk space will be used.
Get:1 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com feisty/universe chetcpasswd 2.3.3-1 [35.4kB]
Fetched 35.4kB in 2s (16.0kB/s)
Selecting previously deselected package chetcpasswd.
(Reading database ... 90549 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking chetcpasswd (from .../chetcpasswd_2.3.3-1_amd64.deb) ...
Setting up chetcpasswd (2.3.3-1) ...
I have been googling around for document making it to work without discovery so that users can login server via browser changing their password. Please shed me some light.

TIA

I have tried this in my RHEL AS 4 after downloading usermin
Code:
[root@server ~]# rpm -ivh usermin-1.310-1.noarch.rpm
warning: usermin-1.310-1.noarch.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 11f63c51
Preparing... ########################################### [100%]
Operating system is Redhat Enterprise Linux
   1:usermin ########################################### [100%]
Usermin install complete. You can now login to http://server:20000/
as any user on your system.
[root@server ~]#
Then From my windows XP PC(192.168.100.55) I browsed the RHEL box(192.168.100.5) as
Code:
http://192.168.100.5:20000/
and logged in as a regular user and easily changed the password.

I have also implemented chetcpasswd from sarg and installed it and its working fine. I will post my httpd.conf file tomorrow.

Though I haven't tried this in ubuntu. Will try tonight.
