I have tried this in my RHEL AS 4 after downloading usermin
Code:
[root@server ~]# rpm -ivh usermin-1.310-1.noarch.rpm
warning: usermin-1.310-1.noarch.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 11f63c51
Preparing... ########################################### [100%]

Usermin install complete. You can now login to http://server:20000/
as any user on your system.
[root@server ~]#
Then From my windows XP PC(192.168.100.55) I browsed the RHEL box(192.168.100.5) as
Code:
http://192.168.100.5:20000/
and logged in as a regular user and easily changed the password.
I have also implemented chetcpasswd from sarg and installed it and its working fine. I will post my httpd.conf file tomorrow.
Though I haven't tried this in ubuntu. Will try tonight.
