How to use ssmtp or sendmail in ubuntu ?

I can use sendmail easily in RHEL but sendmail package is no avialable for Ubuntu 12. I tried ssmtp but the mail does not work.

the mail sending format is

ssmtp a@yahoo.com

I have configured /etc/ssmtp/ssmtp.conf too.

Most MTA packages should provide you with a sendmail executable so you can use it transparently as a drop-in replacement. I like postfix myself, very straightforward to configure.

Can you provide me postfix configuration file... and packages....

Sorry, that's wrong. ssmtp IS available for Ubuntu 12, as is sendmail:

You can install either with your software manager easily.
Just saying "does not work" tells us nothing. As in your OTHER thread, unless you provide details, there's little anyone can help you with.
No, you can get the package as you get the other packages for Ubuntu. Have you even TRIED to look for any of these packages???
