How to set up anti-virus gateway
Hello everyone.
I have been searching for a while, but I haven't anything really clear yet. I want to setup a Linux server which has to serve as a gateway for a LAN to the internet, with things like a firewall, NAT etc. I want to install anti virus software on it so that it scans all network traffic for viruses. I want to connect some old computers to the network which don't have anti virus scanning of their own. I looked on the ClamAV site, but I couldn't find anything which was usable for this task. Does anyone know how to set up this? |
Install Untangle on a PC with dual NIC's
http://www.untangle.com/ Untangle is using ClamAV as their Free option for Gateway AV so what you are looking to do is definitely possible. http://wiki.untangle.com/index.php/Virus_Blocker Untangle is a very nice Project. If you want to go the maual setup route.. How-To Set Up Gateway Level Virus Security With ClamAV And SafeSquid Proxy http://www.howtoforge.com/gateway-le...afesquid-proxy |
Sound good! Thanks, I'll take a look. :)
