how to set https on server

Hello Guys,

Im totally a newbie!

I wanna set https on my SSl server.

In the other words what i want to do is to give IP and PORT to my clients in order to use HTTPS and pass the internet restriction like proxy!

Such a thing is possible through a program named proxifier software for the clients to set the server IP and ports

Can you please tell me in easy way how to manage things?

Thanks alo0o0o0o0o0o0o0t

The principal sources for information are the Apache SSL/TLS Encryption chapter of the User's Manual http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/ssl/ and the SSL/TLS Strong Encryption FAQ http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/ssl/ssl_faq.html.

Best place to start is the manual (there's a how-to).

Hope this helps some.

in order to do such a thing you should enable ssl on your apache, then enable proxy on apache.apache server has this ability to work like a proxy server.

if the site is open to internet, you'll need a SSL Certificate so your site will be "trusted", this needs to be purchased.

Well, one can make a self signed certificate if they want to and send to trusted people.

It doesn't look like the Apache documentation is available in Farsi; the choices appear to be German, French, English, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Turkish and Simplified Chinese.

Sigh.

Hope this helps some.

https

If there is some online payment transactions on your site, its better you have to purchase SSL from CA, for installing SSL on your site you must have dedicated IP, it won't be too much expense, if you like to proceed, please send mail to me, I can give you more details.
