How to respawn a service, using respawn entry in /etc/inittab


Hi,

Could anyone tell me how i can respawn a process/system service by adding respawn entries in /etc/inittab ?

Basically by understanding that 'init' restarts any process started from /etc/inittab and reading 'man inittab' as it contain examples. For instance "svc:345:respawn:/usr/local/bin/binary --whatever" starts the inittab entry with Id tag "svc" in runlevels 3-5 running /usr/local/bin/binary with --whatever arguments.
